New Work
Christopher's most recent body of work is a refinement and progression of previous narratives. Capturing subjects found while wading the ocean surf with high definition photography allows significant shifts in scale to be employed, removing clearly identifiable reference to the subject as an object. This directs the viewer to focus on the physical nature of the subject in relation to it's environment. The continued usage of the traditional techniques of realism allows Christopher to build strong presence and dimensionality in his work, supporting the subject's physical presence in space despite its abstraction.
